Northwoods has an exciting and dynamic music program, and you are invited to be a part of it. We need your voice and your enthusiasm! Opportunities abound.
FOLK CHOIR: The vaunted Northwoods Folk Choir, active since 2005, presents music from folk and rock traditions with guitar-based accompaniment. Joining the folk choir is the easiest entryway into other music opportunities as well. Folk Choir performs on the 2nd Sunday of each month, rehearses Tuesday nights 7:00 – 8:30. Come one, come all! All singers welcome, many opportunities for other instruments. Plus solo opportunities and exposure to other groups.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND!
- The other standing groups (Klà-Vàge, Molli & Willie B, David Shontz and friends, Courtney Thibodeax’s group) are always looking for new musicians for occasional participation or even permanent membership.
- If you play an instrument and would like to participate in some manner—frequently or infrequently.
- You’d like to perform by yourself (you’re a budding singer-songwriter who’d like to present a song in church)
- You’d love to participate in leading/directing a youth choir, a traditional choir, or some other group.
- You have some other talent not listed here but you’re eager to participate.
