Paper Moon Shiners are an Austin-based group. They specialize in covering vintage music from the Victrola/Vaudeville era, while sprinkling in some original compositions in the vintage spirit. The band is led by Elena Antinelli on vocals and Frank Meyer on vocals, guitar, dobro, ukulele and the invisible kazoo. old-timey sensibility and vaudeville undertones command an infectiously entertaining evening with a blend of cracker blues, vintage jazz, swing, ragtime, roots and folk. Like the movie classic, O Brother, Where Art Thou, Paper Moon Shiners breathe life back into the songs of days gone by. The concert will be opened by Ann McAlpin performing some ragtime songs on the piano.
