Magic: The Gathering: 101
Join us for an introduction to Magic: The Gathering, the world’s most popular strategy card game! Learn the basics of deck building, gameplay, and card interactions in a fun, beginner-friendly environment. Hosted by a 30 year-plus Magic veteran. All materials will be provided, so just bring your curiosity and get ready to cast some spells and battle for victory! Hot Dog Awards Party! (entering a dog or bringing your family)
Calling all the Goodest Boys and Goodest Girls! The Montgomery family is hosting a contest for our four-legged besties. A quick doggo parade around our beautiful Northwoods courtyard will be followed by judging and then an awards ceremony. Awards will be given for Goodest Boy/Girl, Best Wag, Best Smile etc—all pups will leave with a Best Of prize! We will then serve a hot dog (or veggie burger) lunch with a side and a drink. $40 to enter your dog (includes all family members). Alcohol-free event at Northwoods. Cloud Craft
Create your own crafted cloud. We will make 3-D puffy clouds that can be illuminated. Everyone needs a cloud friend hanging around. Cotton candy also provided—DIY. Some materials provided by participants, including your own light strip. Other materials we’ll be using (provided, but you’re welcome to add to the supplies) include polyfill pillow stuffing, hot glue, and empty liter soda bottles. Alcohol-free event at Northwoods. Whisky, Art, and Chocolate
A leisurely stroll through some of the fine art installations in the Woodlands while we sample, with each work of art, a paired malted whisky and a chocolate. Oh, you don’t think whisky can be paired with art, much less chocolate? My friend, you have no idea. Just check with Sara DaSilva–she’s never missed one of these tastings (this is the 4th).
